The Beauty of Autumn

"For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad."  -- Edwin Way Teale (1899-1980), Autumn Across America, 1956.  Edwin Teale has poetically described what occurs at Stage's Pond in the Autumn.  The colorful fall foliage smothers our senses with its red, yellow and brown display; but fall can be appreciated even more if you venture into Stage's Nature Preserve and enjoy fall with all your senses.  I have posted several photographs that illustrates "Autumn in the Preserve".
